The 3 Questions to Success

Can people trust me to do what's right?
Am I committed to doing my very best?
Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?
"If you answers to these questions are Yes, there is no way you can fail."
                                                                                 -Lou Holtz

I believe this quote is very true. I believe this is a reliable quote because you can lie about your answer but for it to be a "yes" you really do have to be like this, because all of these questions don't just affect you, but they also affect the people around you. You can lie that about how you do the right thing, when in reality you'll know if ,when it comes down to it, you do the right thing or not. Ask yourself how you treat people, and if that's how you want to be treated. Sometimes though, it can be another person that isn't treating you with the respect you deserve, quite the contrary, they treat you in a horrible manner. The best thing you can do is address it or defending yourself because that is obviously the way they want to be treated. A good example of this would back when there was slaves. Slaves cherished everything they had at there disposal. Slaves also treated everyone they knew with respect and kindness. Now the people back then who owned slaves were actually very mean, and would disrespect sometimes even kill them. The reason slaves treated each other so kindly was because they knew that their "masters" could kill them at any moment they so desired. This made slaves cherish their lives and do the right thing while they still could. I'm not saying we need people to kill us or any of that, but what I am saying is we need to treat people how we want to be treated; help a person in need out if you can, because one day you yourself might need some help, but the people around you want like the way you had treated them, so they're just going to let you go through that struggle, for treating them the way you did.
