"True Wealth Is Of The Heart"

"True wealth is of the heart, not the purse"
                                                          -Pathros

What I believe this quote means is that no matter how much wealth you acquire, if you're not happy none of that money will matter. A recent example of this is how the prince of Dubai died of a heart attack. There were multiple pictures of this event and it showed all of the prince's family morning. Even though they had things people, could only imagine about, yet when their son died, none of that mattered. This shows that without happiness money will mean nothing. There's also some families that do not have a very large amount of money, yet they still live together and are happy, so it doesn't bother them. But being wealthy and happy is probably the best thing that may happen to anyone.

Reflection:

I would not like to be a dentist because I believe that it is a very relaxed job that can get boring after a while. Not only that, but I like risky jobs like being a chemical engineer or an astronaut. I just feel like this job doesn’t fit my personal requirements.

"You Cannot Do Wrong"

"You cannot do wrong and feel right."
                                                    -Ezra T. Benson

I believe this quote means is that no matter how normal something bad feels, you are never going to feel good or relaxed about it. Even if it's the smallest thing that not many people notice it'll still make you feel a certain way until you get it off your chest. For example, lying to your parents can be something you do often, but it doesn't make it okay, it'll make you feel bad and once you tell them the truth you feel much much better. No matter how tough you think you are, you're still going to end up feeling bad.

"When I Do Good I Feel Good"

"When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad" - Abraham Lincoln
This quote doesn't really have a meaning, it's just the plain truth. For example if a friend needs a favor whether it's big or small you're gonna end up feeling good and your friend will be happy that you're his friend. However, if you do bad you're going to feel something bad whether it's remorse, pity, guilt, etc. The point is you're not going to feel bad and are going to be desperate to get it off your chest, and you might end up hurting someone in the process. One example would be lying to your parents, once you tell them the truth you'll feel bad and they're going to feel disappointed. So often, it's better to do and feel good.

Obedience Is The Key To Freedom

"The key to freedom is obedience. The more obedient we are, the more freedom we have"-Boyd K. Packer

I believe that this quote means to be obedient and we'll eventually be rewarded with freedom. It means to obey and we will be rewarded. For example when we listen to our parents they eventually let you go out with your friends or play some video games. But, when your disobedient they punish you with things like being grounded, or no video games. That's why it pays off to be obedient. Another good example would be like following the law. If you follow the law and don't get tickets or anything, then they allow you to do things such as drive and be on your own. But, when you break the law, there are several different punishments, of which almost all of them take your freedom from you, like they can send you to prison or put you under house arrest. That is why you must always be obedient; at school, at home, and in public.

Reflection:

I would consider being an audiologist because it looks like it is a very easy job. An audiologist most of the time looks like a calm mellow person. But I feel like with one little mistake you can end up ruining someone’s hearing. But, on the other hand you can also give people who can’t hear very well the chance to hear once more.

My Hobbies

Some of my hobbies include things such as playing video games. I also really enjoy playing basketball. I got interested in video games when I was two years old. I had gotten my first gameboy in 2002. This gift would be one to change the way I live. Video games can take you to a different world where you can do whatever you want. You can kill people, race in flying cars, the possibilities are infinite. I got interested in basketball when I was in fourth grade. We hadn't done much in recess, until one day we decided to play basketball. That desison was one of the best I have ever made. When I got into middle school, I started getting a bit more curious on what other sports I could play, besides basketball. Then me and some of my friends decided to play football, then soccer and that's what we would play whenever the field was open, which wasn't very often. I also like to play video-games with two of my friends because they're the only two people I know that don't get annoying when playing video-games. We play almost anything we can get our hands on. I also like to cook, since my dad has a restaurant he taught me how to cook really nicely and delicious. Those are all of my hobbies.

"Education Is Key"

"Education Is The Latch Key To Success"

"Education is the latch key to success" is Gordon B. Hinckley's famous quote. I believe that he is correct because most of the people we look up to like Bill Gates and Obama all had a great education. Obama didn't start very well but, once he got a grip on his life he ended up becoming president. Bill Gates was a dropout. The difference between him and most people who drop out is the Bill Gates dropped out of his final year at harvard while most people can't even graduate from high school. I think this is true because, my brother's couldn't even finish high school, so now they are stuck working in restaurants. That's why I have to graduate from high school.

Associate’s degree programs in opticianry prepare students with the job skills needed for an entry-level position in the field. Reflection: I would not like to be an optician because I feel like, although it does help people, that it would be a boring job. I’ve had many experiences with opticians because my brother has very bad eye sight and almost every optician we’ve gone to, has been very cranky. Maybe it’s just my experiences with them but , otherwise, I’d still prefer to be an electronic engineer.

I wouldn’t like to be an ophthalmologist because I would much rather be an engineer and work with technology than just be an eye doctor. Although I do like the fact that you can perform eye surgery when necessary.

Reflection:

I would not like to be an ambulance dispatcher because they don’t get paid very well. Although they do save people’s lives, I believe that electronic engineering is much more of a hands on career. If anything I would rather be an ambulance driver because at least then I will be part of the action.
