What's right isn't always popular

"What's right isn't always popular. What's popular isn't always right."                                                   -Albert Einstein

This quote is from the genius himself. Although this quote is very truthful many people still don't care they'll do what's popular, because if they don't they'll feel like they're going to be judged for doing otherwise. This is true in under many situations. This quote especially makes sense for Albert Einstein because his theory of relativity was rejected. Einstein was rejected by many people. In fact he was way too smart for the people who were alive during his time. Even last week we just confirmed something that Einstein had spoken of and written of many years ago. For such a genius he was rejected too much. But it was his perseverance of knowledge that kept him going throughout the years ans is what now makes him the idol and intelligent being we all want to be. This situation was true for me when I was in elementary school. Everyone was talking back to the teacher because that's what everyone was doing. But I knew better. I held back and told everyone to be quiet because what they were doing was wrong in so many different ways. So Einstein I thank you for all the different ways you have helped humanity evolve in.

"A Choice"

"I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that. It depends upon how hard I want to work, and I decided that I would change it."

                                                        -Dr. Ben Carson

Many people start their life in a struggle. Not everyone is born in to wealth, so they struggle on their way to success. As we heard, Ben Carson is one of those people who was born in the struggle and yet, like the few there has been, made it through to success. At some point in his life he was doing horrible in school, so much that he was considered to be the worst in the class. His mother was a very strong woman. She wouldn't just let her son fail, like he was doing. She started to make Ben read. Even though he hated it, he did as he was told. Eventually he stumbled upon books that told of great success. This ended up inspiring him to read even more and to try and improve his grades. This lead him to be one of the greatest students ever. After fixing his grades, he was able to have a great education. Once he had this great education in his hand, it was up to him what he would do with it. And he chose the right. He ended up becoming a world renounced surgeon. His specialty was one that had almost never been attempted. Ben Carson was the first to successfully perform surgery on conjoined twins. After his first surgery, his career just sky rocketed. After the years passed, skip ahead to now 2016. He is a retired surgeon, but has gotten involved with politics. And not just low level politics, but he is now a legitimate presidential candidate. After being born in the slums, his success stories is one of the more relate able ones. The reason I say this is because many teens today are born into poverty. Now they have seen that education does help you reach much better places, and stay out of poverty. That is why I think this quote is very inspiring. He didn't just say it, but he lived it. This is what makes this quote so great.

President's Day

                             President's Day

What is President's Day?
President's day is the day that George Washington was born.

Purpose:
What most people do on president's day is honor George Washington and all the other presidents from the past. Other people will also focus more on Abraham Lincoln. Some people will also organize events to show the young people more about the presidents from our past. (mostly George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

When is it?
Presidents day is on February 22nd.

Ways to show honor/respect?
There are many ways to show honor and respect on president's day. Most commercial ares don't close on president's day, so what they do to honor it, is they have sales and give to the people, just how presidents have always wanted to. What some people will often do is go and visit the white house in order to honor the past presidents. One of the most common ways to celebrate is to go to mass on president's day. It is also law for schools to begin teaching about presidents, specifically Washington and Lincoln, in order to get kids educated before their day off.

"Enthusiasm makes the difference"

"Enthusiasm makes the difference"

                         -Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

This quote is one of the most truthful quotes I have ever heard. It's not scarce to see this quote become a reality. This quote is proven right by everything around us. In our daily life. In the movies. In books. This quote is true everywhere. It means what is says. If someone wants become an NBA all star,  and all they do is complain how they never make a shot, or how practice is super boring, than they don't have the enthusiasm they need in order to become an NBA star. On the other hand, someone who loves shooting, whether it's hit or miss, and they absolutely love practice and get excited for it than they do have the enthusiasm needed to become an NBA all star. Another example would be me and my enthusiasm for video games. When I want to play a game, i tend to get excited and I usually call over some friends so that they can get online and play with me. Although sometimes my friends don't share the enthusiasm I have when playing video games, so I try to reason with them so that they too feel excitement. When everyone is enthusiastic we can usually always win a match of our video game ahead by at least 40 points (that's a lot) playing with other actual people. Now sometimes my friends are enthusiastic about something I'm not. In this situation what we do is talk as a group until we all have something to get excited about. This can also make a general difference in your life when going to school and getting work done. Someone who is enthusiastic will usually want to do more work to better themselves in that class or subject. That is why I believe that this quote is one of the best and most truthful quotes ever made.
