What is
Veterans Day?
Veterans Day
is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War 1.
When is it?
Veterans Day
is on every November 11th the day that World War 1 officially ended.
What is the
purpose of Veterans Day?
Veterans Day
is the day that veterans are thanked for their services to the United States.
It is also the day that the armistice was signed, ending the hostilities
between the Allied nations and Germany.
Why is it
important to show honor on Veterans?
It is
important to show honor to veterans because World War 1 was one of the most
important wars of all history. It was what was finally over due to all the
veterans that participated in this war; some alive and others couldn’t make it.
It’s important to honor them because during their service they might have seen
things that no person should ever see. The veterans that do make it out alive
might have lost something useful like an arm or a leg, maybe even a friend.
List several
ways to show honor and respect on Veterans Day:
· Wear a red poppy or yellow ribbon
· Visit Veterans hospitals
· Make holiday parade
· Honor veterans all year round
· Donate

Reflection
towards Veterans Day:
I find it
interesting how people celebrate veterans on this day. People should honor
veterans all the time not just on one day, it’s not like if they are only
veterans for a day. People should celebrate all the time or they should at least
make Veterans Holiday a week.
